PostHeaderIcon ImpaKt Band to play for Party in the Pits!

DONNELLSON, Iowa (May 24, 2012) – The first Party in the Pits will feature live music, Friday night, when ImpaKt Band brings its mix of Classic Rock and Country to the first party of the year at Lee County Speedway.

Buffalo Wild Wings, Dirt, Dust and Speed and the Lee County Fairboard will all take part in the first event. Buffalo Wild Wings will be on hand selling their famous boneless wings, while Dirt, Dust and Speed will be playing racing action from the night on a pair of big screns provided by BWW. And the fairboard, who handles beer sales at the track, will be selling adult beverages during the Party in the Pits!

The fun will begin shortly after the final checker flag falls on the night’s racing action.

PostHeaderIcon Veterans get $5 admission Friday!

DONNELLSON, Iowa (May 24, 2012) – All veterans, either retired or active duty, will get $5 admission into the racing action, Friday, at Lee County Speedway.

The “Together WE Fight Hunger 25 for 35 in honor of Brian Hetrick” kicks off at 7:30 p.m. when the first race is scheduled to hit the track. Gates will open at 5:30 p.m. with hot laps at 7 p.m. Veterans can wear their uniform or show their military ID to get the $5 admission.

Also, the National Guard sponsored 88 machine of Dale Earnhardt, Jr., will be on display throughout the night for pictures and representatives from the Iowa National Guard will also be on hand.

Veterans with Military ID get in for $5, Dale Earnhardt, Jr.s’, National Guard car will be on display

DONNELLSON, Iowa (May 23, 2012) – The “Together WE Fight Hunger 25 for 35 in honor of Brian Hetrick” is a big event for 305 Sprint Cars around the Midwest, as the event pays $1,000 to win and $200 to start, and it happens this Friday night, May 25, at Lee County Speedway.

Originally scheduled for April 20, Mother Nature forced the reschedule date of this Friday.

Cars from all three area 305 sanctioning bodies will be legal for the one day event, including Knoxville rules, 34 Raceway rules and Midwest 305 rules.
