2012 Season Championship

Friday August 24th is Pepsi Season Championship presented by Pepsi Memphis Bottling Company.  Seems like the season has gone so fast, but there is still plenty of racing action left on the books.  To keep the racing action exciting this week we have implemented a dash style heat race system.  Meaning the drivers will be lined up by inverted points and where they finish in the heat race is where they start in the feature.  Depending on how many cars in each heat race, but this will help guys that maybe have missed a race or two during the season to still have a chance to start in a decent spot and not last.

Also on the books is Nostalgia Night, where you could see the likes of Ramo Stott, Don White, Ernie Derr, Lem Blankenship, Gordy Blankenship as well as some of the old cars and pictures of the time.  Retired Drivers and their Spouses get in free, which we are hoping many will take advantage of.  This is a way for us to give back for all of the years they have entertained us with their great side by side racing action.  Also for the kids we will once again have Farmington Tax & Accounting Box car races on the front stretch during intermission, so youngsters make sure you get them tuned up and ready to go.

The five normal classes at LCS will be in racing action, including the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Donnellson Tire IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA Sport Mods, Coors Light LCS Hobby Stocks and Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts.

Still have some great nights of racing action coming up to include Steve Kirchner Memorial/Smackdown race Saturday September 15th.  Then the crowd pleasing Shiverfest October 13th and a first for a while two day Fall Nationals show coming up October 19th and 20th.  Make sure you mark your calendars because those will be shows you don’t want to miss!

Grandstand admission Friday will be $9 for adults, $7 for seniors, $5 for students 11-17 and children 10 and under are free. Pit passes are $25. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., hot laps are 7 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.
