Plus Olson Bros. Custom Shop presents 305 Sprint Cars, All emergency service personnel get in free

305 Sprint Cars will make there second appearance at Lee County Speedway, Friday. Action was fast and full of excitement in their first appearance.

DONNELLSON, Iowa (August 13, 2012) – KBKB 101.7 The Bull and Outdoor Power, Inc., present Emergency Services Night, Friday, August 17, at Lee County Speedway. The special night will honor all emergency service personnel.

Police officers, firefighters, 911 dispatchers, paramedics and EMTs will all get in free by wearing a t-shirt or uniform from their respective department. Lee County Speedway and its sponsors look forward to honoring the people who protect us domestically every day!

Also on tap, besides the normal five classes of racing, Olson Bros. Custom Shop will present 305 Sprint Cars during the evening. Purse structure for the special event is listed at the bottom of the story. The Sprint Cars will join the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Donnellson Tire IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA Sport Mods, Coors Light LCS Hobby Stocks and Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts.

PostHeaderIcon Week off equals track work

With the off week scheduled this week for Lee County Speedway, the crew has taken the help and ideas of Keokuk Contractors to improve the racetrack. The corners have been disced, watered and will be repacked and watered more throughout the next two weeks. Here are a few pictures of the work that was being done. The rocks at the end are the bigger of the many rocks that were pulled from turn one. The track was disced up between 4 and 6 inches.

DONNELLSON, Iowa (August 6, 2012) – Just a reminder we will not be racing this Friday, August 10, at Lee County Speedway.

Our next racing action will be 101.7 The Bull/Outdoor Power, Inc. Night, Aug. 17. That is also Emergency Services Night, with police officers, firefighters, 911 dispatchers and emergency medical personnel getting in free.

DONNELLSON, Iowa (August 3, 2012) – Another great night of racing action was put into the books on Friday at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA, as it was KILJ and Coor’s Light Night at the races. Also it was Family Motors Fan Appreciation Night, with many fans stopping by their used dealership in West Burlington to pick up FREE tickets. Abe Huls (Donnellson Tire IMCA Stock Cars), Jim Gillenwater (Shottenkirk Parts Express IMCA SportMods) and Jake Wenig (Coor’s Light LCS Hobby Stocks) extended their winning streaks with feature wins in their respective classes, while Wyatt Lantz (Budweiser IMCA Modifieds) and Rob Hammel (Sunline Auto Parts IMCA Sport Compacts) also visited victory lane on the night.
