Donnellson, IA (Thursday, August 20, 2015) – The racing action returns to the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa this Friday, August 21st, featuring the Sprint Invaders. Presenting the action will be Mohrfeld Electric.
After getting rained out earlier in the season, this will mark the first and only visit of the 2015 season by the Sprint Invaders. Tony Shilling, the current points leader, will look to continue to hold off defending champion Jon Agan. We can also expect to see Josh Schneiderman, Jamie Ball, Nate Van Haaften, Harold Pohren, Tim Moore, John Schulz, Jarrod Schneiderman, Dave Getchell, Dustin Clark, Kelly Graham, and many more.
Also in action on the night will be the Budweiser IMCA Modifieds, Donnellson Tire & Service IMCA Stock Cars, Shottenkirk of Ft. Madison IMCA SportMods, Coors Light IMCA Hobby Stocks, and Armstrong Tractors IMCA Sport Compacts. This will be the final night, before season championship night next week, for drivers to gain valuable points towards winning the track championships.
The gates will open at 5 pm, with hot laps at 7 pm, and racing at 7:30 pm. Grandstand admission will be adults $16, students (11-17) $8, and kids 10 & under FREE! Pit passes will be $30.

Donnellson, IA (Tuesday, March 24, 2015) – Mother nature just doesn’t know what time of the year it is, as the calendar says it is Spring but Winter just won’t give up. With the frigid temperatures forecasted for Friday, this has forced the Lee County Speedway to make some changes to this weekends “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza” presented by Midwest Performance & Power of Keokuk, IA.
The action will now kick off on Saturday, March 28th with a complete draw / redraw show and payout. That will be followed by another complete draw / redraw and payout show on Sunday, March 29th.
Highlighting the weekend will be the IMCA Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win each night, with the winner earning the right to have there name put on the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational race held during the IMCA Supernationals.
Also in action both nights will be the IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA SportMods battling for $500 to win each night. While the IMCA Hobby Stocks will be gunning for a top prize of $400 to win each night, and the IMCA Sport Compacts racing for $300 to win each night.
Both nights will be IMCA sanctioned with national, regional and state points being awarded. So all IMCA rules apply for the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts.
Saturday, March 28th the gates will open at 4 pm, with hot laps at 6 pm, and racing at 6:30 pm. Then on Sunday, March 29th the gates will open at 3 pm, with racing at 5 pm. There will be NO hot laps on Sunday, as this will help to get the fans and race teams back on the road to home early.
Grandstand admission both nights will be Adults $12, Students (11-16) $6, and Kids 6 & under FREE!!! Pit passes each night will be $25, ages (7-13) $15, and ages 6 & under $10.

Donnellson, IA (Sunday, March 8, 2015) – The 2015 season at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, IA is set to begin with the “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza” on Friday, March 27th and Saturday, March 28th. Midwest Performance & Power in Keokuk, Iowa are helping to present the action in the IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods, IMCA Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts both nights.
The “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza” at the Lee County Speedway will be headlined by a $1,000 to win feature for IMCA Modifieds on both Friday and Saturday nights. With both features being qualifiers for the 2015 Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational ballot.
Also in action on both nights will be the IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA SportMods running for $500 to win each night, while the IMCA Hobby Stocks and IMCA Sport Compacts will be racing for $300 to win each night.
Past champions of the “Spring Extravaganza” include Scott Hogan (2013 Modifieds), Richie Gustin and Jimmy Gustin (2014 Modifieds), Damon Murty (2013 Stock Cars), Todd Reitzler and Abe Huls (2014 Stock Cars), Clint Luellen (2013 SportMods), Brett Lowry swept (2014 SportMods), Andy Coffman (2013 Hobby Stocks), Mike Kincaid swept (2014 Hobby Stocks), Skipp Dunker (2013 Sport Compacts), Brad Chandler and Adam Gates (2014 Sport Compacts). Will one of these drivers put their name in the record books for the “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza”, or will there be new winners visiting victory lane for the 2015 event?
Entry fees per night are $40 for Modifieds, $25 for Stock Cars and SportMods, $20 for Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts. Each night will be a complete program, with a draw / redraw format used on both nights.
