Car Show huge success

Practice right around corner for LCS 2012

Last Sunday’s Lee County Speedway Car Show was a huge success in its new location at the Keokuk Hy-Vee! With 21 cars in attendance, there was plenty to look at for everyone.

It was great to have the RC cars from Tomlie Raceway on hand as part of the show! Also, the Lomax Fire Dept. had a Ranger XP 800, which they are raffling off with the help of Outdoor Power, in Quincy, on hand and wold tickets.

The winner of the car show will be announced during the first night of racing at Lee County Speedway, April 13th. Don’t forget all five of our normal classes will be running on opening night, with the modifieds running for $1,000 to win.

First, however, we have practice tomorrow night, Friday, April 6. Gates will open at 5 p.m. and practice will start at 7 p.m. Grandstands are free, while pit passes are $15. Concessions will be available in the pits only.

It will be your chance to get your registration and IMCA license paperwork filled out prior to racing action, so beat the lines next week and fill out your paper work this week.
