DONNELLSON, Iowa (May 12, 2012) — The ownership and management of Lee County Speedway would like to apologize to the drivers, who supported us last night, for the quality of the racetrack.

While we understand it is only our second race event, the heaviness of the track was not intended and will, to the best of our ability, not happen again.

We would like to thank each and everyone who attended the event last night, and hope that you allow us the opportunity to redeem ourselves with track prep. Also, a big thank you goes out to all the cars and drivers, who on several occasions returned to the track to help us re-pack the track after track prep.

It is obvious that without you, we can not put on a quality show, and having said that we will do our best to improve on the conditions of last night.

Again thank you to all the fans, drivers and employees who came to help make last night a good night of racing, on a track that wasn’t up to the standards we have already set for ourselves.

Hopefully we will see each one of you again next Friday night!
