SCHEDULE CHANGES ANNOUNCED FOR THIS WEEKEND

Donnellson, IA (Tuesday, March 24, 2015) – Mother nature just doesn’t know what time of the year it is, as the calendar says it is Spring but Winter just won’t give up. With the frigid temperatures forecasted for Friday, this has forced the Lee County Speedway to make some changes to this weekends “3rd Annual Spring Extravaganza” presented by Midwest Performance & Power of Keokuk, IA.

The action will now kick off on Saturday, March 28th with a complete draw / redraw show and payout. That will be followed by another complete draw / redraw and payout show on Sunday, March 29th.

Highlighting the weekend will be the IMCA Modifieds racing for $1,000 to win each night, with the winner earning the right to have there name put on the ballot for the Fast Shafts All-Star Invitational race held during the IMCA Supernationals.

Also in action both nights will be the IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA SportMods battling for $500 to win each night. While the IMCA Hobby Stocks will be gunning for a top prize of $400 to win each night, and the IMCA Sport Compacts racing for $300 to win each night.

Both nights will be IMCA sanctioned with national, regional and state points being awarded. So all IMCA rules apply for the Modifieds, Stock Cars, SportMods, Hobby Stocks and Sport Compacts.

Saturday, March 28th the gates will open at 4 pm, with hot laps at 6 pm, and racing at 6:30 pm. Then on Sunday, March 29th the gates will open at 3 pm, with racing at 5 pm. There will be NO hot laps on Sunday, as this will help to get the fans and race teams back on the road to home early.

Grandstand admission both nights will be Adults $12, Students (11-16) $6, and Kids 6 & under FREE!!! Pit passes each night will be $25, ages (7-13) $15, and ages 6 & under $10.

Anybody still looking for a hotel to stay in over the weekend are encouraged to contact Boulders Inns & Suites in Fort Madison, IA. There are also some Suites available to rent at the track for the weekend, which are $75 for one night or $120 for both nights. They will go fast, so make sure you call 641-521-0330 to make your reservation.

Driver’s don’t forget that the perfect attendance for the weekly racers getting a $1 off each normal weekly show starts this weekend.
