ATTENTION IMCA LATE MODELS

We had planned on racing you this coming Friday, June 4th. But with Davenport running a Hoker Trucking SLMR event and many cars down from racing this weekend, we have decided to give you this coming Friday night off. However, to make up for it we have decided to add $1,000 to your purse for Friday, June 11th. Which happens to be the next Iowa Corn Growers Association “Drive For 5” event. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to see you all back in action on Friday, June 11th!!!

Mother nature wins again. Heavy rains showers Thursday and over night have once again saturated the grounds at the Lee County Speedway in Donnellson, Iowa. And with the forecast calling for mostly cloudy skies, with temperatures in the mid to upper 40’s. There is no chance of getting the grounds dried in time for racing action. Therefore, track officials had no choice but to cancel the racing action scheduled for Friday, May 28th.

We hope to see everyone next Friday, June 4th, as Roberts Tire Center brings you the MOWA 410 Sprint Car Series to the track. Also in action will be the Iowa Corner Growers Association IMCA Late Models, Sonny’s Super Market IMCA Modifieds, Donnellson Tire & Service IMCA Stock Cars, Roberts Tire Center IMCA Northern SportMods, and AVIS Car Rentals IMCA Sport Compacts.

Unfortunately due to Mother Nature’s attitude this week, we are forced to CANCEL races for tomorrow, Friday, May 21st. The pits and the track are both too saturated to work in by tomorrow. We will gear up for the 28th, with the first Sprint Invaders appearance at Lee County Speedway for 2021! See you all there!

Also, to answer anybody’s question about the make-up Sport Compact and Stock Car features. Those will now be made up on June 11th, along with the Modified feature. With Sprint Cars the next two weeks, those night’s will be long enough.
